Community outreach programme

If you were wondering how we go about developing the upstanders mentioned in our mission statement, our community outreach programme is a good example.

We want your child to develop into an empathetic and compassionate human, aware that they are part of a wider community, understanding of their privilege, and keen to give back where they can.

The outreach programme is designed to build relationships within the local community over time, to encourage sustained difference rather than short-term tokenism. Staff facilitate the children in their endeavours to show what can happen when people pull together for good.

Our Community

What does this look like?

Every Christmas your child will make a handmade ‘card of care’ for a named individual within the local area, which staff deliver. If your child is musical, they might join the ‘bell plate’ group on Hampstead High Street bringing Christmas cheer to shoppers in exchange for donations for Shelter.

Your child might be part of a project with Heath Hands or the Doorstep Homeless Families Project. We recently had an assembly from Camden Food Bank, which led to a collection, and a visit from Year 7 children to understand how it works behind the scenes, and how they could help further.
