Child-initiated learning
Imagine if your child was given opportunities to apply the skills taught in lessons, independently in their play. If the environment was thoughtfully resourced and enhanced to evoke your child’s natural curiosity, interests and passions. If dinosaurs appeared in the art area to encourage your dinosaur-loving child to paint. If Duplo builders were given clipboards and hard hats to encourage mark-making at their building site.

Reception
Who will teach my child?
Your child will be taught in their classroom by a class teacher, aided by a teaching assistant.
What specialist teaching is available?
In Reception your child will have specialist teachers for PE, Music , Coding, French as well as Forest School.
How is the day structured?
Structured literacy sessions form the focus of the morning when your child is most alert. Free flow afternoons allow your child to explore and choose based on their interests.
