The Junior School provides a wide range of opportunities to help foster a variety of talents and interests, enabling all children to develop their own personalities with opportunities to excel. We strive to develop the whole child in and out of the classroom and while this takes place daily, children can participate in some paid enrichment activities such as: Ballet, Chess and Yoga, Italian, Debating and Speech and Communication; there is also Instrumental tuition for musicians. Junior School staff also contribute to the extra-curricular programme by offering a variety of after school clubs such as: Theatre skills, ICT, Sports clubs, Art and Craft, Spanish and Environmental Studies.
Children in the Junior School have their own Form Teacher, and Teaching Assistants and Gap Students are on hand to enrich the teaching and learning taking place in and out of the classroom. We also have an established SEN department to help support children and to extend the most able. As the children grow older a larger part of the curriculum is delivered by subject specialists. This begins in the Junior School, where the children benefit from weekly specialist tuition in Music, French, PE and ICT.
