Technology
Your child is likely to have a job that doesn’t yet exist. It will almost certainly require fluency with technology in some form. Our role is to equip your child with the skills to navigate their technological future, whatever that may look like.
For that reason, our IT curriculum is far from standard. As well as teaching the computation skills, digital literacy, computer science, programming and app / game development skills required to take GCSE and A Level at senior school, we focus on the softer skills required to be discerning and competent users.
Your child might come home and talk about the risks they need to consider about new technologies such as AI. They might tell you about malware – the laws, the risks and the measures required to stay safe online. Whatever your personal views on screens, technology is accessible 24/7 and it’s important your child is equipped to use it to their advantage for their learning and for life.
