Introduction P

Every class has a Parents’ Representative who meet every term with Mrs Piper, the Headmistress.

The Parents’ Charity Fund Raising Committee raises money for charities nominated by the members of the School community. In recent years we have bought specialist children’s equipment for the Royal Free Hospital, decorated children’s bedrooms at Great Ormond Street and donated money to the Aplastic Anaemia Trust.  Last year we raised money for Anaphylatic Research, Hopes and Homes for Children and the Lowes Syndrome Trust.

To raise money there is a Winter Fair, Parents’ Lunch, Readathon, Quiz Night, Summer Fete, and other individual events suggested by the children and parents.

Parents should be made aware that Camden Council, after a six-month review of a cross-party strategy on the School Run, has agreed to continue with the policy of reducing dispensation permits for car parking in residential areas adjacent to schools in the Borough. Camden intends to enforce this parking policy. Pay and Display bays may be available in the school vicinity, but there are very few of them. We would therefore encourage you to use alternative means of transport on your school journey whenever possible.  You may be interested to enquire about the school travel plan, which gives advice on travelling to school in a more environmentally sustainable way.
